Brostep是由Dubstep分裂出来的一个音乐类型，更确切的说是Dubste发展出的分支流派。
Brostep相对Dubstep来说，情绪上更活跃，音色更张扬，Dubstep则是偏向阴暗。Brostep的跳跃性比Dubstep强，节奏感紧凑，而Dubstep节奏稀疏。Brostep包含的元素也非常丰富，常见的有Wobble Bass、Growl Bass、Glitch等。 Brostep节拍为4×4拍，Bpm140左右，强力的鼓组以及明亮的音色，高燃而炸裂。
