来自美国加州的Maroon 5，一共有五名成员，主唱／吉他艾登姆·乐文(Adam Levine)，吉他詹姆斯·瓦伦潭(James Valentine)，键盘杰西·卡米抠(Jesse Carmichael)，贝司米奇·麦顿(Mickey Madden)，鼓手莱恩·达西克(Ryan Dusick)，几名成员从小就认识并在高中的时候就组了一只叫做"卡拉的花"(Kara's Flowers)的乐队，他们的音乐才华，为他们在高中一毕业，就赢得了与唱片公司签约的机会。年仅17岁的艾登姆·乐文，杰西·卡米抠，米奇·麦顿，莱恩·达西克得到了与著名制作人，制作了很多著名乐队，像绿日(Green Day)，Goo Goo Dolls等的唱片的罗泊·卡亚罗(Rob Cavallo)合作录制首张专辑的机会。
